Our Staff

We hire our staff based on training/education, experience, and commitment to the dental field. Our staff is highly qualified with outgoing personalities and have the ability to communicate well with people to increase patient comfort. Many of our staff members have been with our team for many years and enjoy creating lasting relationships with patients. We always welcome feedback to ensure we continue to meet our patients needs and expectations.

Doctors

Dr. Gary Adiska
Dr. Gary Adiska grew up on a farm near Milan, Michigan. He worked in industry for several years doing engineering and management. He moved to Stockbridge in 1973 and has enjoyed the community ever since.

He became interested in dentistry through friends in the field and pursued his career at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, graduating in 1986. Dr. Adiska then opened his dental practice in Stockbridge. He is a current member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, and pursues many hours of continuing education.

In his spare time, Dr. Adiska enjoys outdoor activities including hunting, fishing and boating.

Dr. Heather M. Adiska
A life long resident of the Stockbridge area, Dr. Adiska graduated from Stockbridge High School in 1997. She then attended Northern Michigan University from 1997 to 2001, majoring in Physiology under the pre-dental program. From there, Dr. Adiska attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in Ann Arbor, Michigan. After graduating in May 2005, she has been a full time practitioner here at Adiska Family Dental and a member of the American Dental Association and the Michigan Dental Association.

In her spare time, Dr. Adiska enjoys camping, golfing and spending time with her family. She welcomed her first child in September 2007.

Dr. Mark Potocki
Dr. Mark Potocki is a 1986 graduate of the University of Michigan's School of Dentistry. He is a memeber of the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. After dental school, Dr. Potocki joined the Air Force. He has been practicing in Perry, MI for over 20 years before joining Adiska Family Dental in 2010. Dr. Potocki and his wife Lila have three children. His sons, Jon and Brian, are currently attending the University of Michigan's School of Dentistry. His daughter, Katy, is also at the University of Michigan. Dr. Potocki's interests include ice hockey, running, and fishing.

Administrative Staff

Carrie Krachie - Practice Administrator
Raised in the Stockbridge area, Carrie graduated from Stockbridge High School in 1995. After graduation, she attended Grand Valley State University and Eastern Michigan University, where she earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Social Work. Carrie has been part of the Adiska Family Dental team since June 2004.

She lives in Rives Junction with her husband, Mike. In their spare time, they enjoy the outdoors, riding their Harley Davidson motorcycle and spending time with family and friends.

Ruthann Morvant - Receptionist/Dental Assistant
Raised in Stockbridge, Ruthann is married with one son. She joined Adiska Family Dental in December 2005, where she works the front desk and fills in as an assistant when needed. Ruthann will greet you with a smile and ensure you receive prompt and attentive assistance. Adiska Family Dental specializes in personalized service and has no automated phone trees.

Angie Howard - Office Administration/Receptionist
A life long resident of Livingston County, Angie graduated from Stockbridge High School in 1997 and attended Michigan State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. Before joining Adiska Family Dental in 2011, Angie spent 10 years at Domino's Pizza World Headquarters. At Domino's she managed all community giving, including the company's partnership with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, along with communications and PR. In her spare time, Angie and her husband, Michael enjoy the outdoors, traveling to Beaver Island and spending time with their Mini-Schnauzer, Louie.

Assistants

Jennifer Cicalo - Registered Dental Assistant
Jennifer Cicalo is a registered Dental Assistant, who has been with Adiska Family Dental since 1988. She is a 1987 graduate of Stockbridge High School and a 1989 graduate of Ferris State University.

She lives in Grass Lake with her husband, Tom and their two children, Alexis and Ryan. She enjoys camping with her family, bowling and playing softball.

Erin Smith - Dental Assistant
A lifelong resident of the Stockbridge Community, Erin graduated from Stockbridge High School in 1997. She has been employed at Adiska Family Dental since April 2004 as a Dental Assistant. Currently, Erin is attending Washtenaw Community College to further her education and become a Registered Dental Assistant.

She lives at home with her husband, Kevin and two daughters, Jena and Hannah. Erin enjoys going up north with her family and playing sports.

Hygienists

Sarah J. Young - Registered Dental Hygienist
Sarah graduated from the University of Michigan with her Bachelors of Science degree in Dental Hygiene in the spring of 2008. She has been practicing as a registered dental hygienist with the Adiska Family Dental team since January of 2009. Sarah lives with her husband, Scott in Howell and has welcomed thier first child on March 23, 2011. She has enjoyed getting to know the patients and familiarizing herself with the area. Sarah is very excited about the many changes in dentistry and looks forward to helping you maintain your oral health.

Kari N. Jones - Registered Dental Hygienist
Kari N. Jones is a Registered Dental Hygienist, that has been with Adiska Family Dental since 2004. She is a 1991 graduate of Northwest High School. Kari attended Michigan State University for two years. She graduated from Lansing Community College in 1995, earning an Associates Degree in Applied Sciences, and has been employed as a hygienist since.

Kari lives in Parma with her husband, Dave, and their two children, Kortney and Karly. She is passionate about her family and her career. She also enjoys running and pet family dog Miley (yellow lab).

Kim Marie Howlett - Registered Dental Hygienist
Kim Marie graduated from dental hygiene school in 1989 and joined Adiska Family Dental in January 2003. She lives in Stockbridge with her five children and has enjoyed being a part of the community since 1999. Her interests include watching her children play sports and their other activities, writing, music, singing, golf, Detroit Redwings, interior design, gardening, scrap booking and getting to know our patients. She looks forward to meeting you and helping you keep your smile healthy for the rest of your life.

Amy Rodrigues - Registered Dental Hygienist
Amy was born and raised in Venezuelà and came to the United States with her family in 2002. She now resides in Lansing. She has been working in the dental field since 2004 as a dental assistant. In 2010 she graduated from Lansing Community College as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Amy is recently engaged to her fiance, Daehwan. She likes to spend time with family and her fiancè. She also enjoys reading books and traveling. Amy started working for Adiska Family Dental in March 2010 as a temporary hygienist and after 2 months, was hired on full time. She is grateful for the opportunity given to work for Adiska Family Dental.
